Disneyland Paris is a Disney resort in Marne-la-Vallée, about 32 km east of central Paris, opened on 12 April 1992. It has two theme parks: Disneyland Park, with Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and Big Thunder Mountain, and Disney Adventure World, opened in 2002 as Walt Disney Studios Park, plus hotels and Disney Village.
The Paris Zoological Park, commonly called the Vincennes Zoo, is run by the National Museum of Natural History on 14.5 hectares of the Bois de Vincennes. It opened in 1934 and groups animals by biozone rather than species, with a tropical greenhouse. Its landmark is a 65-metre artificial rock visible across the park.
