Sehenswürdigkeit · London Trafalgar Square is a public square in Westminster, laid out by John Nash and opened in 1844, named after the naval battle of 1805. Nelson's Column, 52 metres high, stands at its centre between two fountains, and the square is framed by the National Gallery, St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Fourth Plinth with its changing artworks.

Sehenswürdigkeit · London Covent Garden is a district on the eastern edge of the West End, centred on a piazza laid out by Inigo Jones in the 1630s with St Paul's Church on its west side. The market building of 1830 by Charles Fowler, once London's fruit-and-vegetable market, now holds shops, cafés and stalls, and street performers work in the square.

Sehenswürdigkeit · London The London Eye is a cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the Thames beside County Hall, opened to the public in March 2000 as the Millennium Wheel. It is 135 metres tall with a diameter of 120 metres, and its 32 enclosed capsules turn slowly, giving views over Westminster, the river and central London.

Sea Life London Aquarium occupies part of County Hall on the South Bank of the Thames, beside Westminster Bridge and the London Eye. Opened in 1997 and part of the Sea Life chain since 2009, it shows sharks, penguins, turtles, seahorses, octopuses and coral reef fish in a series of themed zones.

Borough Market is a food market beside London Bridge station in Southwark, on a site where a market has been recorded since at least the 12th century. Its iron-and-glass halls date largely from the 1850s; traders sell produce, cheese, meat, fish and bread alongside street-food stalls, and the portico of Covent Garden's Floral Hall was re-erected here in 2004.

The View from The Shard is the observation deck at the top of The Shard, the 310-metre tower by Renzo Piano at London Bridge. Opened in 2013, it has enclosed viewing galleries on levels 68 and 69 and a partly open-air skydeck on level 72, with views across the Thames, the City and much of London.

The Sky Garden occupies the top floors of 20 Fenchurch Street, the City of London tower nicknamed the 'Walkie-Talkie', designed by Rafael Viñoly and completed in 2014. Under a glass roof, terraced planting rises beside viewing areas and an open-air terrace that look out over the Thames and the City; visits are by timed ticket.

London Zoo lies on the northern edge of Regent's Park and was opened by the Zoological Society of London in 1828 as a collection for scientific study, admitting the public from 1847. It keeps more than 8,000 animals of over 300 species, and its grounds lie on both banks of the Regent's Canal.

Camden Market is a group of adjoining markets in Camden Town, north of Camden Lock on the Regent's Canal, partly housed in the former Pickfords stables. It grew from a small Sunday crafts market opened in 1974 into a complex of stalls and shops selling clothing, crafts, second-hand goods and street food from many countries.

Stamford Bridge is the football stadium in Fulham, West London, where Chelsea FC has played its home matches since the club was founded in 1905. The ground opened in 1877 and was rebuilt as an all-seater stadium in the 1990s; it holds about 40,000 spectators, and stadium tours include entry to the Chelsea FC Museum.

The Emirates Stadium in Holloway, north London, has been the home ground of Arsenal Football Club since 2006 and seats about 60,700 spectators. It was built on a former industrial site at Ashburton Grove to replace the club's old Highbury ground. Stadium tours visit the home dressing room, the players' tunnel and the pitchside.

Sehenswürdigkeit · London Up at The O2 is a guided climb over the roof of The O2, the former Millennium Dome on the Greenwich Peninsula. Wearing harnesses clipped to a safety line, climbers follow a walkway up the dome to a summit platform 52 metres above the ground and back down again, in a climb of about 90 minutes with views across London.

The London Cable Car is a gondola lift that crosses the Thames between the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Victoria Dock, west of ExCeL London. Built by Doppelmayr and opened in June 2012, it is owned by Transport for London. Its cabins travel about one kilometre and rise to 90 metres above the river, with views over Docklands and Greenwich.

Sehenswürdigkeit · London F1 Drive London is an electric go-karting venue built under the South Stand of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a motorsport deal between the club and Formula One, and opened in February 2024. Drivers race karts styled on Formula One cars on a 500-metre track with 17 turns and two DRS zones, in sessions for children, mixed groups and adults.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the home ground of Tottenham Hotspur, opened in April 2019 on the site of the old White Hart Lane. It seats 62,850, with a single-tier South Stand for 17,500 fans and a retractable grass pitch over an artificial surface used for NFL games. Stadium tours go behind the scenes, and The Dare Skywalk leads onto the roof.

Wembley Stadium is England's national football stadium in north-west London, opened in 2007 on the site of the original stadium of 1923. Designed by Foster and Partners with Populous, it seats 90,000 under a roof held by a 134-metre steel arch. Guided tours visit the dressing rooms and the players' tunnel.
