The Spanish Riding School in Vienna's Hofburg preserves classical dressage and trains Lipizzaner horses; it was first named in 1565. Performances take place in the white Winter Riding School, built between 1729 and 1735, and visitors can also watch morning training or join a guided tour of the hall and stables.

The Naschmarkt is Vienna's largest permanent market, stretching about 1.5 kilometres along the Wienzeile above the vaulted Wien River. Rows of fixed stalls sell fruit, vegetables, spices, cheese, fish and delicacies, between small restaurants and bars. It has been called the Naschmarkt since around 1820, and a flea market fills its southern end on Saturdays.

The Wiener Riesenrad is a 64.75-metre Ferris wheel at the entrance of the Prater in Leopoldstadt, built in 1897 by the English engineer Walter Basset for the golden jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Damaged in the Second World War, it was rebuilt with 15 of its original 30 cabins, which give views over the city.

The Schlumberger Kellerwelten are the vaulted cellars of the Schlumberger sparkling-wine house on Heiligenstädter Straße in Döbling, a company founded by Robert Schlumberger in 1842. Tours of 30 to 45 minutes, with an audio guide in eight languages, explain the traditional bottle-fermentation method and end with a tasting.

The Danube Tower is a 252-metre tower in Donaupark in Vienna's 22nd district, built for the 1964 International Garden Show to a design by Hannes Lintl and Robert Krapfenbauer. Two lifts reach the observation deck at 150 metres in about 35 seconds, and the tower head also holds a revolving restaurant and a café.

Schönbrunn Zoo was founded in 1752 in the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace and has been in continuous operation since; it covers 17 hectares and is part of the palace's World Heritage site. Its enclosures radiate from the octagonal Imperial Pavilion of 1759, and it keeps around 700 species, including giant pandas and elephants.
