parc · AssiseThe Bosco di San Francesco is a 64-hectare wooded valley below the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, owned by the FAI since 2008 and opened to visitors in 2011. A path leads down through oak woods and olive groves to the Benedictine complex of Santa Croce, with its church, bridge and mill, and on to a clearing in the Tescio valley.
