The East Side Gallery is an open-air gallery on the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall, running 1.3 km along Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain between the Spree river and the Oberbaumbrücke. More than 100 artists painted murals on the east side of the wall in 1990, shortly after German reunification. One of its murals depicts Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Honecker kissing.

The Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection is an art museum opposite Charlottenburg Palace, showing paintings, prints and sculpture from French Romanticism to Surrealism. Founded in 2008 as part of the Berlin National Gallery, it is housed in the neoclassical building that formerly held the Egyptian Museum.

Charlottenburg Palace is a Baroque palace in western Berlin, begun in 1695 as a summer residence for Sophie Charlotte, wife of the future King Frederick I. Expanded over the following two centuries, it is the largest surviving former royal residence in Berlin, set around a formal garden. Visitors can view the Porcelain Cabinet and the royal apartments.

The Museum of European Cultures in Dahlem explores everyday life, customs and cultural contact across Europe from the 18th century to the present. Formed in 1999 from the merger of Berlin's Museum of Ethnography and Museum for Folklore, it occupies the oldest building of the Dahlem Museums, designed by Bruno Paul.
