
Jardin de Boboli
parc · FlorenceThe Boboli Gardens are the formal gardens behind Palazzo Pitti, laid out for Eleonora di Toledo and Cosimo I de' Medici from about 1550 and later extended towards Porta Romana. The terraced grounds hold an amphitheatre, ancient and Renaissance statues, the Buontalenti Grotto, the Neptune Fountain and the 18th-century Kaffeehaus.
