Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo is a 15th-century palace near Campo Manin, known for its external spiral staircase, the Scala Contarini del Bovolo, added around 1499. Its 80 steps wind up inside a 26-metre cylindrical tower of brick and Istrian stone, open in arcades, to a loggia with a view over the roofs of Venice.

Palazzo Pisani is a patrician palace beside Campo Santo Stefano, begun in 1614 for the Pisani family and enlarged into the 18th century around two courtyards with colonnaded loggias. Owned by the city, it houses the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music. Guided tours lead through its halls and courtyards up to a rooftop terrace over the city.

The Doge's Palace was the residence of the Doge and the seat of government of the Republic of Venice. Its Gothic facades on the waterfront and the Piazzetta date mainly from the 14th and 15th centuries; visitors see the council halls, with paintings by Tintoretto and Veronese, and cross the Bridge of Sighs to the former prisons.

Villa Widmann is an 18th-century villa on the Brenta at Mira, between Venice and Padua. Remodelled in the mid-1700s in French Rococo taste, it has a central ballroom with frescoes attributed to Giuseppe Angeli and Gerolamo Mengozzi Colonna, a garden with stone statues, a barchessa outbuilding and a small chapel.
