디화제는 다퉁구 다다오청에 있는 거리로, 19세기에는 강변 항구의 교역 거리였으며 1850년대부터 1930년대까지 지어진 푸젠식, 바로크식, 모더니즘 양식의 상가 건물이 늘어서 있습니다. 지금도 건어물, 한약재, 직물을 파는 가게가 카페, 디자인 숍과 나란히 있고, 거리 중간에 샤하이 성황묘가 서 있습니다.
