The German Football Museum is the national museum of German football, located in Dortmund near the central station. It opened in 2015 and traces the history of the German game through its permanent exhibition, including memorabilia from national and club football, World Cup trophies, and the Hall of Fame honoring the country's leading players and coaches.
Zollern II/IV Colliery is a former coal mine in the Bövinghausen district of Dortmund, built from 1898 as a model colliery with Art Nouveau brick architecture designed by Paul Knobbe. Its machine hall houses the original generators, and the entrance building has an Art Nouveau portal by Bruno Möhring. Since 1981 it has been the headquarters of the Westphalian Industrial Museum.
