Frankfurt Cathedral is a Gothic Roman Catholic church in the city centre, built mainly in the 14th and 15th centuries on the site of a royal chapel founded in 852. Despite its name it was never an episcopal seat; from 1356 it served as the Holy Roman Empire's election and coronation church. Its tower rises 95 metres.

The Goethe House is the Frankfurt birthplace and childhood home of writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, born here in 1749. Destroyed in an Allied air raid in the Second World War, it was rebuilt afterward and furnished with period pieces from Goethe's time. It stands beside the Deutsches Romantik-Museum, visited on a joint ticket.

Main Tower is a 200-metre, 56-storey skyscraper in Frankfurt's Innenstadt district, built between 1996 and 1999 as the headquarters of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen. It is the only Frankfurt skyscraper with a public observation deck, reached near the top of its circular, blue-glass upper section.

The Städel Museum is an art museum on the Museumsufer in Frankfurt, founded in 1817 after a bequest from banker Johann Friedrich Städel. Its collection spans seven centuries, with around 3,100 paintings, 660 sculptures and more than 100,000 drawings and prints, shown in a 19th-century building and later extensions.

Palmengarten is a 22-hectare botanical garden in Frankfurt's Westend-Süd district, opened in 1871 after being privately financed by architect Heinrich Siesmayer. Taken over by the city in 1931, its glasshouses were rebuilt after wartime damage and restored by 1992. Plants are grouped by origin across open-air and heated houses.

The Senckenberg Natural History Museum is a natural history museum in Frankfurt, the second-largest of its kind in Germany, run by the Senckenberg Nature Research Society founded in 1817. It moved to its current building on Senckenberganlage in 1907 and today displays 18 reconstructed dinosaurs among its collections.
