The Château de Champs-sur-Marne is an early 18th-century country house east of Paris, designed by Pierre Bullet and his son Jean-Baptiste Bullet de Chamblain for financiers of Louis XIV. Madame de Pompadour rented it in the 1750s; visitors see furnished rooms, a Chinese salon painted by Christophe Huet and a formal garden running down towards the Marne.
