kunstmuseum · MontalcinoThe Civic and Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art in Montalcino was formed in 1997 by joining the town's and the diocese's collections in the former convent beside the church of Sant'Agostino. Its twelve rooms hold about 200 works, including a painted crucifix of about 1190 from Sant'Antimo, a Madonna by Simone Martini, saints by Ambrogio Lorenzetti and painted wooden statues.
