The Parc du Thabor is a public park of about ten hectares near the centre of Rennes, on land that was once the orchard of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Melaine. Laid out largely by Denis Bühler in the 1860s, it combines a French formal garden, an English-style park and a botanical garden, with a rose garden, an orangery, a bandstand and an aviary.
