A pop-up museum in Vedbæk about the Vedbæk finds: graves of Stone Age hunters who lived beside a fjord here about 7,000 years ago, discovered in 1975 when Vedbæk School was built. It stands where Rudersdal Museums plans a permanent museum.

The little ferry Frederiksborg, crewed by volunteers, has sailed the castle lake in Hillerød since 1952. A round trip of about half an hour calls at Hillerød Torv, the Rose Garden and the Baroque Garden. Sails from mid-April to the October half-term.
