Schloss · MannheimMannheim Palace is a Baroque palace built 1720-1760 for Elector Karl III Philip after he moved the Palatinate's capital to Mannheim. At six hectares it is one of Europe's largest Baroque palaces, second in size only to Versailles. Most of it houses the University of Mannheim; a wing operates as the Schlossmuseum, showing period furniture, tapestries and paintings.
