espacio cultural · Blackpool The Winter Gardens is an entertainment complex in central Blackpool that opened in 1878. Under one roof it holds the Opera House theatre, rebuilt in 1939, the Empress Ballroom of 1896, which has hosted the Blackpool Dance Festival since 1920, and several Art Deco halls. Guided tours visit the stage and the ballrooms.

torre mirador · Blackpool Blackpool Tower is a 158-metre observation tower on the Promenade, opened in 1894 and inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Lifts run up to the Blackpool Tower Eye viewing platform with its glass floor, and the red-brick Tower Buildings at its base hold the Tower Ballroom, the Tower Circus and the Blackpool Tower Dungeon.

The Comedy Carpet is a public artwork on Blackpool Promenade in front of Blackpool Tower, designed by Gordon Young with typography by Why Not Associates and opened by Ken Dodd in 2011. Set into the Tower Festival Headland, its concrete and granite surface carries more than 160,000 letters spelling jokes, catchphrases and the names of comedians.

SEA LIFE Blackpool is an aquarium on the Promenade along the Golden Mile, next door to Madame Tussauds. The route leads from rock pools and tanks of North West shoreline species to stingray and seahorse zones, jellyfish, a rainforest area with turtles and piranhas, and an underwater ocean tunnel with sharks, reworked with a Jurassic theme in 2026.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a waxworks museum on the Promenade, opened in 2011 in place of Louis Tussauds Waxworks, which had occupied the site since 1929. More than 80 wax figures of celebrities, athletes, musicians and television characters are set out in themed zones such as Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing.

atracción turística · Blackpool North Pier is the oldest and longest of Blackpool's three piers, designed by Eugenius Birch and opened in 1863. The Grade II listed pier runs about 500 metres out to sea from the end of Talbot Road and carries a theatre, bars, a carousel and an amusement arcade.

atracción turística · Blackpool Central Pier is the middle of Blackpool's three piers, opened in 1868 about 500 metres south of Blackpool Tower to designs by John Isaac Mawson. It has always been the pier for dancing and amusements; a 33-metre Ferris wheel added in 1990 stands halfway along, beside fairground rides and an arcade.

Blackpool Zoo opened in 1972 on the site of the former Stanley Park Aerodrome, east of the town centre, and covers 13 hectares. It keeps more than 1,000 animals, among them Asian elephants in the Project Elephant house opened in 2018, Bornean orangutans, giraffes, sea lions and penguins, and has a walk-through dinosaur trail.

parque de atracciones · Blackpool Sandcastle Waterpark is an indoor waterpark on the South Shore promenade in Blackpool, opened in 1986 on the site of the former South Shore Open Air Baths. It has 18 water slides, among them the Master Blaster water coaster, as well as a wave pool, an action river and play areas for young children. Blackpool Council's tourism company runs it.

parque de atracciones · Blackpool Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an amusement park on the South Shore, founded in 1896 by A. W. G. Bean and John Outhwaite and now called Pleasure Beach Resort. Its rides include The Big One, a 1994 steel roller coaster, four wooden coasters such as the Big Dipper, and Sir Hiram Maxim's Captive Flying Machine of 1904.
