Explorar Hillerød

The little ferry Frederiksborg, crewed by volunteers, has sailed the castle lake in Hillerød since 1952. A round trip of about half an hour calls at Hillerød Torv, the Rose Garden and the Baroque Garden. Sails from mid-April to the October half-term.

A Renaissance castle built for Christian IV in the early 1600s on islets in the castle lake at Hillerød, home since 1878 to the Museum of National History.

An art museum in Nivå built on Johannes Hage's collection of Italian and Northern European Renaissance art, Dutch Baroque and Danish 19th-century painting, open to the public since 1908. It holds two or three special exhibitions a year.
