Carrières des Lumières is a former limestone quarry in the Val d'Enfer below Les Baux-de-Provence, worked until 1935 and used by Jean Cocteau as a film set in 1959. Since 2012 Culturespaces has projected digital exhibitions set to music on its walls, pillars and floors, on painters such as Picasso, Matisse and Frida Kahlo.

Glanum is the excavated site of an ancient town at the foot of the Alpilles, about a kilometre south of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. A Celto-Ligurian settlement that grew under Greek influence and became a Roman town, it was abandoned after 260 AD; visitors walk its main street past houses, baths, the forum, twin temples and the sacred spring.

Montmajour Abbey is a former Benedictine monastery founded in 948 on a rocky hill north of Arles that was once an island in the marshes. The site spans graves cut into the rock, the 11th-century hermitage, the 12th-century church and crypt, the Romanesque cloister, the 14th-century Pons de l'Orme tower and the ruins of an 18th-century monastery.
