Explorar Montcaret

The Gallo-Roman Villa of Montcaret is the excavated residential part of a large Roman country house above the Dordogne valley, uncovered between 1921 and 1939. Its reception rooms and private baths, set around a courtyard, keep mosaic floors of the 4th and 5th centuries in place, and a museum beside the site shows objects found there.
