monumento · TeruelThe Mausoleum of the Lovers of Teruel holds the remains of Juan Diego de Marcilla and Isabel de Segura, the couple of a 13th-century Teruel legend. The present building beside the Church of San Pedro, designed by Alejandro Cañada, opened in 2005; its last room holds Juan de Ávalos's alabaster tombs, with the lovers' hands almost touching.
