The Basilica of Santa Engracia stands where Saint Engratia and the martyrs of Zaragoza are said to have died in 303 AD. The monastery church founded by Ferdinand II was largely destroyed in the sieges of 1808–1809; its Renaissance portal survived and the church was rebuilt behind it. The crypt holds two 4th-century Early Christian sarcophagi.

The Puente de Piedra is a stone bridge over the Ebro in Zaragoza, built between 1401 and 1440 under Gil de Menestral and repaired after a flood in 1643 destroyed two spans. About 225 metres long, it links the old town by the Basilica del Pilar with the north bank. Four bronze lions by Francisco Rallo Lahoz were placed at its ends in 1991.
