
Bath Abbey
kerk · BathBath Abbey is a Church of England parish church and former Benedictine monastery in the centre of Bath. Founded in the 7th century, it was rebuilt in the 12th century and again, in Perpendicular Gothic style, in the 16th, and restored by George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. It has fan vaulting, and its west front shows angels climbing stone ladders to heaven.
