
The Great Tapestry of Scotland
museum · GalashielsThe Great Tapestry of Scotland is a visitor centre on the High Street of Galashiels, opened in 2021 to a design by Page\Park Architects and joined to the town's former post office of 1896. Its first-floor gallery shows the 160 embroidered panels of the tapestry, stitched by about 1,000 volunteers, which trace Scotland's history from prehistory to 2013.
