Charlottenburg Palace is a Baroque palace in western Berlin, begun in 1695 as a summer residence for Sophie Charlotte, wife of the future King Frederick I. Expanded over the following two centuries, it is the largest surviving former royal residence in Berlin, set around a formal garden. Visitors can view the Porcelain Cabinet and the royal apartments.
