About Aarhus

Aarhus is Denmark's second-largest city, a port and university town in East Jutland known for ARoS, Den Gamle By and Moesgaard Museum. The Old Town is an open-air museum of historic Danish houses, ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum sits a short walk away, and Moesgaard Museum, south of the city, covers prehistory and the Viking Age. One or two days is enough for most visitors. The centre is walkable, and buses and the light rail cover the rest of the city, including the beaches and woods to the south. Marselisborg Palace and Marselisborg Deer Park lie in the same southern woodland, so they combine well with a visit to Moesgaard.
