    The Vianden chairlift, opened in 1955 and fully renovated in 2006, is the only chairlift in Luxembourg. Two-seat chairs run from the Rue du Sanatorium in the Our valley, at about 220 metres, over the river to a hilltop at about 440 metres, where a viewpoint looks over the town, Vianden Castle and the dam, and an inn stands by the top station.
