A former Union brewery building in Dortmund, built in 1926-1927 as the city's first high-rise. Preserved for its landmark status after the brewery closed in 1994, it reopened in 2010 as a centre for art and creativity, housing the Museum Ostwall beneath its illuminated rooftop U sign.
Phoenix des Lumières is an immersive digital art venue in Dortmund-Hörde, set inside a former gas-blower hall built in 1905 for the blast furnaces of the Phoenix-West steelworks. Listed as a heritage building since 2002, the hall projects large-scale animated versions of famous artworks across its walls and floor, with exhibitions from the Culturespaces network.
