monument · PragueThe Powder Tower is a Late Gothic gate tower completed in 1475 between the Old Town and the New Town, where coronation processions set out on the Royal Route to Prague Castle. It is named after its later use as a gunpowder store; statues of Bohemian kings and saints decorate its facades, and a gallery at 44 metres looks over the city.
