    The Memorium occupies the attic above Courtroom 600 in Nuremberg's Palace of Justice, where the International Military Tribunal tried senior Nazi leaders from 1945 to 1946. Opened in 2010, the exhibition uses original courtroom fittings, film and audio recordings to document the trials and their influence on international criminal law.

  • Albrecht Dürer's House

    Albrecht Dürer's House

    Albrecht Dürer lived and worked in this five-storey timber-framed house from 1509 until his death in 1528. Rebuilt after World War II bombing, it reopened as a museum in 1971 and now shows period rooms, a reconstructed printmaking workshop and rotating exhibitions of Dürer's drawings and prints.

    Opened in 1899 as a royal Bavarian railway museum, the DB Museum in its present building dates from 1925 and is the oldest railway museum in Germany. Exhibits include part of the Bavarian royal train, the 1829 Adler-era coal wagon and the streamlined steam locomotive 05 001, alongside a large-scale model railway.

    Founded in 1852 by baron Hans von und zu Aufseß, the Germanisches Nationalmuseum is Germany's largest museum of cultural history. Its roughly 25,000 displayed objects span prehistory to the present, including Dürer's Rhinoceros woodcut, the 1492 Behaim Globe and paintings by Rembrandt and Lucas Cranach the Elder.

  • Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds

    The Documentation Center occupies the north wing of the unfinished Congress Hall on the former Nazi party rally grounds. It opened in 2001 and its exhibition covers the causes, course and consequences of National Socialism, including the Nuremberg rallies, the 1935 Nuremberg Laws and the postwar Nuremberg trials.
