Germanisches Nationalmuseum

Founded in 1852 by baron Hans von und zu Aufseß, the Germanisches Nationalmuseum is Germany's largest museum of cultural history. Its roughly 25,000 displayed objects span prehistory to the present, including Dürer's Rhinoceros woodcut, the 1492 Behaim Globe and paintings by Rembrandt and Lucas Cranach the Elder.
