The Schöner Brunnen is a 19-metre Gothic fountain on Nuremberg's main market square, built by stonemason Heinrich Beheim between 1385 and 1396. Its spire-shaped canopy carries 40 painted and gilded figures arranged in tiers, including prophets, electors and philosophers.

The Frauenkirche was built between 1352 and 1362 on Nuremberg's main market square, commissioned by Emperor Charles IV on the site of a destroyed synagogue. Its brick-Gothic west front carries the Männleinlaufen, a mechanical clock from 1509 that re-enacts the 1356 Golden Bull each day at noon.

St. Lorenz is a Gothic hall church in Nuremberg's old town, begun in 1250 and largely completed by 1477. Its west front holds a rose window nine metres across, and the choir contains Veit Stoss's carved Annunciation and Adam Kraft's sacrament house, a stone tabernacle over 18 metres tall.

Surviving structures include the Zeppelin grandstand, the unfinished Congress Hall and the Große Straße parade road; the whole site is now an open memorial area.
