Frauenkirche

The Frauenkirche was built between 1352 and 1362 on Nuremberg's main market square, commissioned by Emperor Charles IV on the site of a destroyed synagogue. Its brick-Gothic west front carries the Männleinlaufen, a mechanical clock from 1509 that re-enacts the 1356 Golden Bull each day at noon.
