Audley End House

Audley End House is a Jacobean country house near Saffron Walden in Essex, built by Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk, on the site of Walden Abbey. Much of it was pulled down in the 18th century, leaving about a third of the original house. English Heritage shows its state rooms, Victorian service wing and stables, and a park landscaped by Capability Brown.
