About Aalborg
Aalborg is the main city of North Jutland, set on the Limfjord and known for its waterfront, the Utzon Center and the Viking site Lindholm Høje. The harbour front links the Utzon Center, the House of Music and the half-timbered streets of the old centre, while Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg and Aalborg Zoo lie a short bus ride away. Lindholm Høje, a Viking burial ground with hundreds of stone settings, is across the fjord in Nørresundby. One or two days suits most visitors. The centre is walkable and city buses cover the rest. Aalborghus, a half-timbered royal residence, sits by the water close to the centre.
