St. Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic church on West Street in Drogheda, built in 1884 in the French Gothic style to designs by John O'Neill and William Henry Byrne. Its limestone west front has a tall gable and a rose window. Inside is the national shrine of St Oliver Plunkett, which holds the preserved head of the saint.

Monasterboice is an early Christian monastic site about 8 km north of Drogheda, in County Louth, said to have been founded by Saint Buite in the late 5th century. In its graveyard stand a round tower, two ruined churches and carved stone high crosses, among them the 10th-century Muiredach's Cross with panels of scenes from the Bible.
