Monasterboice

Monasterboice is an early Christian monastic site about 8 km north of Drogheda, in County Louth, said to have been founded by Saint Buite in the late 5th century. In its graveyard stand a round tower, two ruined churches and carved stone high crosses, among them the 10th-century Muiredach's Cross with panels of scenes from the Bible.
