Liège Cathedral was founded in the 10th century by Bishop Eraclus as the collegiate church of Saint Paul and rebuilt in Gothic style from the 13th to the 15th century. It became the cathedral in the early 19th century, after Saint Lambert's Cathedral was demolished, and its tower was raised in 1811-1812. The cloister holds the Treasure of Liège, a separately ticketed museum.

The Collegiate Church of St Bartholomew in Liège is a Romanesque church in the Mosan style, built from the late 11th to the late 12th century, with a twin-towered westwork and red-and-white walls. It was restored from 1999 to 2006. It keeps the brass baptismal font made in the early 12th century and attributed to Renier de Huy, resting on oxen and showing five baptism scenes.
