tourist attraction · Liège The Montagne de Bueren is a public staircase of 374 steps in Liège, built in 1881 to climb from the Hors-Château district up the hillside towards the Citadel. Its average gradient is close to 30 percent. It is named after Vincent de Bueren, who led the 600 Franchimontois against Charles the Bold in 1468, and its landings look out over the city.

tourist attraction · Liège Liège-Guillemins is the main railway station of Liège and a stop on Belgium's high-speed lines, designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened on 18 September 2009. Built of steel, glass and white concrete, it has no closed façade: a vault 160 metres long and 32 metres high spans its nine tracks, with walkways and footbridges open to everyone.
