The Central Museum of Textiles occupies Ludwik Geyer's White Factory on Piotrkowska Street, where Łódź's first mechanised cotton spinning and weaving mill started. Founded in 1959, it shows textile machines in motion, industrial fabrics, fashion and contemporary textile art, and runs an open-air area of wooden buildings from the Łódź region.

The Museum of Art in Łódź opened in 1931 with the International Collection of Modern Art assembled by the a.r. group of avant-garde artists, including Władysław Strzemiński and Katarzyna Kobro. Its main building, ms1, is Maurycy Poznański's late-19th-century palace on Więckowskiego Street, showing the collection beside temporary exhibitions.

The Izrael Poznański Palace is the neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque residence of the textile industrialist Izrael Poznański, rebuilt from a tenement between 1888 and 1903 beside his factory. It houses the Museum of the City of Łódź, with the family's period rooms, exhibitions on the city's history and a gallery devoted to the pianist Artur Rubinstein.

Radegast Station is the former goods station of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto, set up by the German occupiers in Łódź in 1940; from January 1942 Jews were deported from here to the Kulmhof and Auschwitz-Birkenau camps. The memorial, opened in 2004, includes the 1941 station building, the Tunnel of the Deported with transport lists, and a 1944 locomotive with wagons.
