Oratorio de la Santa Cueva

The Oratorio de la Santa Cueva is an 18th-century oratory with two chapels, one above the other. The plain lower chapel of 1783, by Torcuato Cayón, holds a carved Calvary group; the oval upper chapel, completed in 1796 by Torcuato Benjumeda, is decorated with three paintings by Goya. Haydn wrote The Seven Last Words of Christ for its Good Friday service.
