About Pattaya

Pattaya is a beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand, about two hours south-east of Bangkok by road, with nightly shows, nightlife and theme parks. The Sanctuary of Truth, a hall of carved teak begun in 1981, stands by the sea at Naklua, and Big Buddha Hill overlooks the bay from the south. Walking Street runs off the southern end of Beach Road, and cabaret theatres such as Tiffany's and Alcazar stage shows every night. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, the Khao Kheow Open Zoo and several water parks lie outside the town. Songthaew pick-up trucks run along Beach Road and Second Road.
