About Hội An
Hội An is a former trading port on the Thu Bồn River in central Vietnam, whose old town of shophouses and assembly halls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Japanese Covered Bridge links two streets of the old town, where Chinese assembly halls such as Fujian's, merchants' houses like Tấn Ký and small museums of ceramics and early cultures are opened with a single visitor ticket. Lanterns light the riverside in the evening. The Cham sanctuary of Mỹ Sơn lies in the hills about 25 km away, and VinWonders Nam Hội An is on the coast to the south. A day or two covers the old town.
