About Cancún

Cancún is a resort city on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, with a hotel zone on a long sandbar between the sea and the Nichupté lagoon. The Mayan Museum of Cancún shows Maya objects beside the small site of San Miguelito, and the ruins of El Rey stand across the road from Playa Delfines, a public beach. El Meco lies on the city's northern edge. Off the coast, the sculptures of the Underwater Museum are seen by boat or snorkel, and ferries cross to Isla Mujeres, where Garrafón park sits on the southern tip.
