Singapore is a city-state at the tip of the Malay Peninsula, where Malay, Chinese, Indian and colonial heritage meets modern architecture. Marina Bay holds Gardens by the Bay with its glass conservatories and Supertree Grove, the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, the ArtScience Museum and the Merlion. Sentosa island, reached by cable car, monorail or a boardwalk, has Universal Studios, the Singapore Oceanarium and beaches. The zoo, the Night Safari and Bird Paradise share a site in Mandai in the north, and Jewel Changi Airport has an indoor waterfall. The MRT reaches nearly every sight.
