About Jeju

Jeju is the main city of Jeju island, a volcanic island off the south coast of the peninsula, and Vizgu covers the whole island here. Hallasan, the highest mountain in South Korea, rises in the middle of the island, and Seongsan Ilchulbong is a crater on its eastern shore. Manjanggul is a lava tube in the north-east, and the Jusangjeolli cliffs and the Jeongbang and Cheonjiyeon waterfalls lie near Seogwipo on the south coast. Seongeup keeps thatched stone houses, and Jeju City has the Samseonghyeol shrine, the Yongduam rock and the national museum. Buses cross the island, but most visitors hire a car.
