About Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's capital, a city of skyscrapers, mosques, temples and colonial buildings where two rivers meet. The Petronas Towers rise above KLCC Park, and the KL Tower has an observation deck on Bukit Nanas. Merdeka Square is lined by the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, and Masjid Jamek stands where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet. Petaling Street, the Central Market and Sri Mahamariamman Temple are in Chinatown; the National Mosque, the Islamic Arts Museum and the Perdana Botanical Garden lie to the west. The Batu Caves are 13 km north. Two or three days cover the city; trains link most sights.
