About New York
New York City spreads over five boroughs, with most first-time sights in Manhattan and more across the river in Brooklyn. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim and the American Museum of Natural History line Central Park, MoMA sits in Midtown near Rockefeller Center, and the Whitney stands at the south end of the High Line. Ferries leave Battery Park for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is in Lower Manhattan. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge leads to Brooklyn Bridge Park. Four or five days cover the main sights. The subway runs around the clock and reaches most of them.
