Diocesan Museum of Cortona

The Diocesan Museum of Cortona occupies the former Church of the Gesù and its lower oratory on Piazza del Duomo. Founded in 1945, it shows works from the churches of the diocese, among them Fra Angelico's Annunciation of about 1430, paintings by Pietro Lorenzetti, Sassetta and Luca Signorelli, and a Roman sarcophagus of the 2nd century AD.
