Kamppi Chapel, also called the Chapel of Silence, is a wooden chapel on Narinkka Square in central Helsinki, opened in 2012. Designed by K2S Architects, it is 11.5 metres tall, with a curved outer wall of spruce and an interior lined with alder. It holds no Sunday services and is meant for a quiet moment in the busy Kamppi district.

Temppeliaukio Church is a Lutheran parish church in Töölö, designed by the brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen and completed in 1969. The hall is quarried directly into the granite bedrock, with rough rock walls and a copper-clad dome ringed by skylights; it seats about 750 people and is also used for concerts.

Helsinki Cathedral is the Lutheran cathedral of the Diocese of Helsinki, rising above the Senate Square at the top of a broad flight of steps. Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel and consecrated in 1852, it was called St Nicholas' Church until 1917; the white Neoclassical church has a Greek-cross plan, a green central dome and zinc statues of the twelve apostles on the roof.

Uspenski Cathedral is the main cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Finland, built in 1862–1868 on a rocky hill on the Katajanokka peninsula to designs by Aleksey Gornostayev. Its red-brick walls reuse bricks from the Bomarsund fortress on Åland, and green copper domes with gilded cupolas rise above an interior with a painted iconostasis.
