The Museum of Trade Ceramics opened in 1995 with help from Japanese specialists, in a two-storey 19th-century wooden house at 80 Trần Phú in Hội An. Its pieces from the 9th to the 19th century, found at sites around Hội An, trace the sea trade in ceramics from China, Japan, Thailand, the Middle East and Vietnam that passed through the port.
